Bertha Milz passed on February 15, 2013. She was one of the original settlers. Our condolences for Tommy and Freddy.

We received photo donations from the Labi – Codik and Blum – Codik families. Soon they will be posted in our Museum. Bruno and Irma Codik lived in Sosua for many years. His bread was a daily gourmet delight on our breakfast and dinner table. Thanks Margot and Hella for sharing your parents and family pictures.
George Schwarzbartl donated more than a hundred photos to the Sosua Virtual Museum. His parents Hans and Alice lived in Sosua several years. Then they moved to Santiago. Hans was a Mechanical Engineer. He built on top of a truck the first bus structure that was used to transport passengers from Santiago to Puerto Plata and Sosua. He also owned Gas Stations. Hans, Alice, Ralph and George spent with the Sosua community most of the High Holly Days as well as summer vacations.
